Our Goal
Seeing the potential in Every child!
Our educators have over 75 year combine experience in Early Childhood Education (ECE). All employees are required to have 15 hours of continued education each year. We use the Pyramid Plus approach as well as Conscious Discipline. We strive to help all children no matter the challenging behaviors, background, or living situation. We also encourage and support our educators to continue their professional development and higher learning to help educate all children and infants in our program!

Our Philosophy
We support families and educators in whole child development, in a fun, safe learning environment that offers culturally diverse curricula, user friendly technology, and dedicated bilingual staff.
At Space Kids Academy, we’re proud to provide a caring and safe environment for your children. We work hard to equip each child with the tools they need to succeed and the ability to look forward to their kindergarten educational experience. Our programming equips children for their educational journey while incorporating safe play.
Through our programming we will cultivate positive child, staff and family relationships. This is of the utmost importance to Space Kids Academy and our staff.
We will also create and maintain a socially and emotionally respectful early learning and care environment. By doing this we get children who are excited and want to be in our programs and parents who want them there as well.
Mission Statement

Meet Our Early Childhood Educators!

Nicole Brix
I teach in English and ASL!
Co-Owner/Co-Director
With fifteen years of experience in early childhood education, I have dedicated my career to the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their starting point or life circumstances. I understands that for many children, the classroom is more than just a place for academic learning—it is a vital sanctuary.
I pride myself on providing a safe, highly structured environment where children feel secure enough to explore their potential without the weight of judgment. I view my role as a consistent anchor for all students in our center, ensuring that they have a foundational "safe place" where their individual needs are met with empathy and professional expertise.
Outside of my professional life at Space Kids Academy, I am a devoted wife and the mother of one adult child. My experience in parenting has further refined my approach to childcare, blending the practical wisdom of a mother with the strategic insights of a long-term educator. Whether implementing new developmental programs or simply offering a patient ear to a struggling student, I remain focused on my core objective: helping every child build the resilience they need to succeed.

The sisters!
Growing up together wasn't just about sharing a bedroom or toys; it was about building a lifelong friendship that started in a home where the door was always open. We were raised on the philosophy that "it takes a village," and our families didn't just talk about it—they lived it, constantly leaning on and lifting each other up.
Our German heritage gave us a foundation of resilience and heart, guided by two very different, yet perfectly complementary, forces. Our mother was our anchor, teaching us the value of excellence and pushing us to always be "beyond our best" in everything we touched. Then there was Dad—the neighborhood’s favorite "intergalactic space hippy"—who made sure we never took life too seriously. He taught us to live to the fullest, to embrace the unconventional, and to find wonder in the everyday.
That unique blend of discipline and soul led us both to the same calling: childcare. We realized early on that we wanted to be part of the "village" for other families. Today, we bring that same passion to the children we care for, combining our drive for excellence with a sense of adventure, ensuring every child feels the same support and joy we had growing up side-by-side.

Co-Owner/Co-Director
Driven by 15 years in childcare and the deep, personal lessons of motherhood, I have dedicated my life to understanding the incredible machinery of the developing child’s brain. For me, early childhood isn’t just a career; it is a calling rooted in the belief that every "unwanted" behavior is actually a cry for connection or a milestone in disguise.
With being a single mother to three children of my own, I have lived through the beautiful chaos of every developmental stage. While acquiring my Associates degree in ECE I learned that when a child "acts out," they aren't being difficult—they are navigating a brain that is still under construction.
By blending my professional expertise with the heartbeat of a mother and grandmother, I’ve learned to embrace the tantrums, the testing, and the tears as vital moments of growth. I don't just manage behaviors; I honor the small human behind them, holding space for their big emotions while guiding their developing minds with patience, science, and heart.

Assistant Director/Curriculum Coach/Lead Teacher
With 27 years of experience in childcare, I bring a deep, lifelong passion for nurturing and supporting the growth of children. My journey in this field has been shaped not only by my professional background but also by my personal life as a mother to a 16-year-old son and a 7-year-old daughter.
Being a parent myself gives me a unique, firsthand understanding of the joys and challenges families face, allowing me to connect with both children and parents on a meaningful level.
Throughout my nearly three decades in childcare, I have remained dedicated to creating safe, engaging, and supportive environments where every child feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. My goal is always to provide the same high standard of care and compassion that I would want for my own children.

Assistant Director/Infant Nursery Supervisor
Hello! My name is Ms. Sauvnhia, and I am thrilled to be a part of your child’s early learning journey. With over five years of experience in childcare, I serve as both a Lead Teacher and the Infant Nursery Supervisor (INS).
While my primary focus and passion are with our infants, my teaching background is broad; I have had the wonderful opportunity to teach children ranging from 1 to 6 years old. This experience across multiple age groups helps me understand the unique developmental milestones each child reaches as they grow.
For me, the best part of childcare is the discovery. I love that every day brings the chance to learn something new alongside the children. Watching their curiosity spark and exploring the world through their eyes is what makes my work so rewarding. I look forward to getting to know your family and creating a safe, nurturing environment where your little ones can thrive!

Early Childhood Educator
With three years of experience in childcare, I am dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where children feel seen, heard, and inspired. My approach is centered on the belief that every child has a unique spark, and I make it my mission to connect with them on a deep social and emotional level. By taking the time to learn each child's individual interests, I build the trust and rapport necessary for them to truly thrive.
I am particularly passionate about sparking creative imagination through art and play. Whether we are building elaborate worlds through open-ended play or exploring new textures and colors in an art project, I love providing the tools that allow children to express themselves. For me, childcare is about more than supervision—it’s about fostering a sense of wonder and helping every child develop the confidence to explore the world around them.
